About the Designer

Abhijeet Khanna is a senior fashion design professional with over 20 years of experience in Indian fashion and textiles, specialising in women’s Indian wear with a strong focus on contemporary, everyday silhouettes.

A graduate of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi, Abhijeet has built a career grounded in textile-led design, kurta-driven collections and thoughtful surface development, balancing Indian craft sensibilities with modern functionality.

He has been associated with the Indian fashion industry at both design and institutional levels, including showcasing and contributing to platforms such as India Fashion Week (FDCI) and London Fashion Week. These experiences strengthened his understanding of global quality benchmarks, disciplined design processes and commercial viability.

Alongside his independent design practice, Abhijeet has collaborated with large corporate and consumer-facing brands including Maruti Suzuki, Tata Group, Uninor and Avon, working on design-led initiatives that required alignment with structured systems, brand guidelines and large-scale execution.

His professional journey also includes engagement with design education, mentoring young designers and contributing to academic environments—an experience that has reinforced his leadership capabilities and his strong ability to align creative vision with business and brand objectives.

Abhijeet has explored opportunities to contribute his experience and design leadership to established lifestyle and ethnic wear brands, where thoughtful design, consistency and long-term value creation are central to the brand ethos.

Abhijeet brings a process-driven, collaborative and commercially aware design approach, with hands-on experience across the complete product development lifecycle—from concept development and range planning to fabric sourcing, sampling, fit development and vendor coordination.
